Embrace The Season: Fall Without The Fuss

Embrace The Season: Fall Without The Fuss

As the hints of cooler weather begin to creep into our North Carolina days, we are ready to embrace the season and do fall without the fuss. These glorious crisp days make us all ready to begin adding touches of fall to our home! If you’re looking for ways to decorate that are both stylish and straightforward, why not let nature be your guide? Here are four simple yet stunning ideas to infuse your space with the essence of fall using natural elements:

1. Leafy Table Centerpieces

Capture the spirit of fall with a table centerpiece crafted from colorful fallen leaves - either real or faux! Head outside and gather a mix of leaves in varying shades—think deep reds, bright oranges, and rustic browns. Arrange them in a clear glass vase or bowl, and if you’re feeling a bit crafty, you can even press and frame some of the more delicate ones. Not in a place where you get the bright fall shades? Faux options have come a long way and can provide the same effect!  The natural colors and textures of the leaves will create a warm, inviting ambiance that’s perfect for fall meals and gatherings.

2. Pinecone Accents

Pinecones are a quintessential fall (and winter!) element that can add a touch of rustic charm to your decor. Simply collect a handful of pinecones from your local park or backyard. You can place them in a decorative bowl or scatter them along your mantel or coffee table to add texture and color. To help kill any bugs, mold, or other creatures, we suggest Baking pine cones at a low temperature, ~ 200°F, for 15 to 20 minutes. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper to keep the sap off the tray and oven.   As we mentioned before, faux options have come far and we offer a variety of beige hops candle rings, half spheres, wreaths, and swags that will give the same effect as the real option!

3. Pumpkin and Gourd Display

Pumpkins and gourds are classic fall decor that require minimal effort but make a huge impact. Choose a variety of sizes, shapes, and colors and arrange them on your front porch, in the entryway, or on your dining table. If you’re short on time, a simple grouping of pumpkins in a basket or on a decorative tray can look effortlessly stylish. For an added touch, consider incorporating some mini pumpkins or squash into your arrangement for extra texture and variety.  If you prefer something that you can use season after season, consider velvet pumpkins for their texture or glass pumpkins that can be used over and over.

4. Branch Wreaths

Create a welcoming autumn vibe with ease thanks to a wreath made from natural branches. To create your own wreath, gather a combination of twigs and branches from outdoors and use wire or twine to form a circular shape. For a bit of extra color and texture, add an assortment of dried flowers, acorns, or small pinecones to the wreath. If you prefer to not go natural, begin with a faux Penny Leaf wreath in either yellow or red.  Be creative with where you add a wreath as well! Hang it on your front door or get creative and add a fall wreath above the fireplace or kitchen island.
